The opening night of THE DRAWING LAB.
Join us for the grand opening of the final term of Eye to Pencil for a historical drawing romp through the ages. Looking at stylisation from ancient times to imaginings of the future, peered at through a classically framed still life. Led by Issey Kang and Alex Heard, narrated by Dancer/Choreographer Gulliver Whitby and accompanied live on cello by ethnomusicologist Floss Morris.
Bios:
Issey Kang is an artist currently in the ACME/UAL Associate Studio Programme. Her work explores notions of characterisation and style filtered through internet studies, which manifest in nail varnish drawings, futuristic mannequins and folded paper sculptures. Recent shows include ‘Like it or Lump it’ at Danny Profit, and ‘Fairytale Ambitions’ at Hackney Gallery.
Alex Heard is an artist working with ceramics, drawing and video. He just completed his BA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths.
