WRESTLING WITH A DRAWING IN THE DESIGN PROCESS
with Tom Robertshaw
Friday, 8 November
6.30-8.30pm
As a structural engineer Tom Robertshaw spends his days exploring how creative structures can be made real. Tom’s talk will weave a narrative which connects historic architectural innovation to contemporaneous leaps in understanding within science and physics, looking at when and where drawing played a part. Alongside this Tom will discuss the difference between drawing to problem-solve and drawing to communicate at different stages of a design process.
