What is the difference between a drawing and a painting?
In Harry’s workshop we will be experimenting with mixed media approaches such as drawing with scissors, staining, drawing on different surfaces, and drawing with ink. We will begin with small observational drawings from photographs, progressing to larger scale mixed media works.
“My aim, when making work, is to fall somewhere between painting and drawing. They are two streams that flow in and out of each other, and are both equally important.”
Harry Alexander is a London based painter studying Fine Art at City and Guilds. He is currently working on a series of oil paintings on paper referencing famous blues musicians from the 1960’s.
