In her practice, Cristina Reyes, digs into the subconscious mind to bring out characters, shapes and words into our physical dimension. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of what usually remains hidden or forgotten - the other within. Over the years, similar stories and forms repeat themselves in this process, and the characters that emerge have formed a Mythological world of its own.

Cristina will be telling us the story of how this world started appearing in tiny drawings, and over time seemed to grow in size, to take over massive installations and murals.

Originally from the Canary Islands, the artist lives and works in London. Commissions include Hayward Gallery, Kensington Palace and Victoria & Albert Museum; she has exhibited internationally in Milan, New York, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo.
