In Giulia’s experience, drawing is similar to thinking. During her workshop she will take us through the ‘limitations’ of the act, prompting us to think about the fine line between making a diagram and an art object. Using found text and dream diaries brought by participants, we will learn to create images under different constraints: abstracted, gendered and cinematographic, exploring what Freud referred to as ‘freedom through limitation’.
