Location: Studio, 26 Exmouth Market, EC1 4QE
Comics can be an accessible way to explore both narrative and visual ideas. In this session Athen encourages us to rewrite fairy tales in comic form. Through group games and shared references Athen aims to teach us how to chronicle our stories, with a lens on horror and sex. By the end of the workshop each participant will leave with their own updated fairy-tale comic strip.

Bio:
Athen Kardashian is a visual artist born and based in London. She has had a lifelong preoccupation with drawing and doodling, leading her to make comics, enjoying its existence outside of a ‘high art’ context. Beyond comics, her practice consists of collaboration with Nina Mhach Durban, exploring identity and the diasporic existence within the UK.
